North Charleston South Carolina is the location for the new Boeing Company plant. They are now building a second 584,000 square foot Dreamliner assembly plant. Boeing had already purchased their first plant from Vaught Aircraft who had been assembling for Boeing. The new Boeing plant will create at least 3,800 additional jobs and attract at least 43 top-tier suppliers. Boeing is expected to invest $750 million over seven years and construction on the second plant is well underway. It is my opinion that the Charleston Tri-County area is a solid investment and on the verge of booming again in the next few years.
