REALTOR®
A native of Kentucky, Ron entered the U.S. Coast Guard at age seventeen and traveled extensively during his career. The “iceberg experience” in his travels to the “Top and Bottom” of the world gave him a great appreciation for the milder climates.
He fell in love with the Charleston area during his last career tour and he selected Real Estate as his new career choice. Ron settled in the bedroom community of Goose Creek. He and his wife “Birdie” have three children, Elizabeth, Kelly Ryan and Faith. Kelly serves in the U.S. Coast Guard and Elizabeth is married and has three children and Faith currently attends Charleston Southern University.
Ron loves to hunt and fish and competes as an amateur in bass fishing tournaments. He serves as Senior Deacon at his Church. Ron has been a volunteer instructor for the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® over the years. He is also a Charter member of the Goose Creek Economic Development Committee
As a long time advocate for the consumer in real estate, Ron has served as President of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) and is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the Real Estate Buyer Agent Council (REBAC). He holds the Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) professional designations and he is an e-Pro designated REALTOR® and a REALTOR® of Distinction. Ron likes to level out the playing field by using his experience and negotiating skills to better his client’s position and save them money.
My Client-First Philosophy
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional – integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my 26 years of experience as a Charleston SC area real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
So when you decide that you'd like to buy or sell a home in the Charleston, Summerville, Goose Creek, Daniel Island or Mt. Pleasant areas, please contact me.
