It has been my experience that working with a name brand mortgage company that can offer references and has a Charleston Area local office and assigned loan originator will generally out preform the online or third party broker that is reselling your loan. It is a nightmare to get near closing and have a problem develop and you can't talk to the same person twice. I think it is good to have a live person and desk you can jump on.
